  • The High Level Chlorine test strip tests levels of free chlorine in a solution, in steps of 0-50-100-250-500-1,000ppm, giving results in just seconds. This test strip is used where higher levels of disinfection are required. The higher range provides a much higher degree of certainty that all organisms are either killed or rendered ineffective. We also have higher level chlorine strips available, including our Active Chlorine, which measures up to 2,000ppm and our Extra High Level Chlorine, which measures up to 10,000ppm.
  • The Active Chlorine test strip tests levels of free chlorine in a solution. The increments are 0, 25, 50, 200, 500, 800, 1500, 2000ppm. The color chart has obvious color changes from blue to brown to orange. This test strip is very easy to use, and gives results in just seconds. The Active Chlorine test strips can be used in facilities where food preparation areas, equipment, and general disinfection are more strictly controlled. Specifically, this product was developed for use in daycare centers and senior homes, where a disinfection level slightly higher than that available using our High Level Chlorine strip is required.
  • The Extra High Level Chlorine test strip tests levels of free chlorine in a solution, in steps of 0-1000-2500-5000-7500-10,000ppm, giving results in just seconds. This test strip is great for environments requiring high levels of sanitation/disinfection, such as hospitals.
  • The use of a Chlorine Dioxide Test Strip can provide fast and reliable monitoring of chlorine dioxide levels, including residuals. The High Level Chlorine Dioxide Test Strips detect levels from 0-500ppm in increments of 0, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500. Chlorine dioxide has a higher oxidation capacity than chlorine or ozone, which means lower concentrations of chlorine dioxide can be used to achieve effective disinfection. It can also be used when large amounts of organic matter are present.
  • The Peroxide test strip is calibrated at 0, 100, 200, and 400ppm, and gives results in just seconds. This test strip can be used to test pools and hot tubs where peroxides, rather than chlorine, are used to sanitize. Recommended peroxide levels vary, therefore, the test strip can be used to test the concentrations users prefer.
  • The Extra High Level Peroxide test strip is calibrated at 0, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10000ppm, and gives results in 90 seconds. These strips are used to test concentration levels of Peroxide solutions used in cases where strong disinfection is needed. This test strip is designed to work with solutions prepared from concentrated hydrogen peroxide only. It should not be used to test solutions made using “accelerated” hydrogen peroxide products. These type of solutions require specially formulated test strips.
  • The Quick Response QAC Test strip (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds) is calibrated at 0, 100, 200, and 400ppm, and give a response in just one second.  This test strip can determine levels of up to 0-400ppm for many single, dual and 4-chain quat disinfectants to confirm their cleaning power is at full strength.
  • The High Level QAC Test Strip (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds) measures the range of 1-1500 ppm in increments of 200, 400, 750, 1000 and 1500 ppm, and gives results in just seconds. Check for higher levels of QAC when testing stronger solutions that kill pathogenic organisms, as opposed to testing for residual QAC with our Low Level QAC test strip, or our standard QAC Quick Response Test Strip.
  • The Extra High Level QAC Test Strip (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds) measures the range of 0-10,000 ppm in increments of 1000, 2500, 5000 and 10000 ppm, and gives results in just seconds. Check for higher levels of QAC when testing stronger solutions that kill pathogenic organisms, as opposed to testing for residual QAC with our Low Level QAC test strip, or our standard QAC Quick Response Test Strip.
  • The Potassium Iodide Starch test paper detects free Iodine, Chlorine and Peroxides in solution. Lower levels react with the strip at 5 - 10 ppm. Iodine requires approximately 60 seconds to react, and initial reactions show a slight blue color, while higher concentrations turn the strip from dark blue to purple. Our Potassium Iodide Starch Paper is also available in a military grade (See Additional Information).
